Tignes has ample accommodation to suit every budget and style.
We have broken this section into Hotels, catered chalets, self catered chalets and apartments for ease.
If you elect to stay in a hotel you will get most things done for you. Whilst
you are out on the piste your beds will be made for you and room tidied. Meals
will include breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal. Drinks will be
extra although some will include unlimited wine with the evening meal. Most will
be separate dining and a choice of a la carte menu or fixed choice.
Most will have drying rooms for equipment and all will have a storage room for
your skis / boards etc.
This is for social parties who enjoy the more communal life of dining and lounging with other guests. Your party can either take over the whole or become a part of the chalet, obviously depending on the chalet capacity. Normally the chalet will be run by live in staff who will prepare breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal. Meals are set for the specific night of the week and discussed with the guests usually at the beginning of the week. The hard working chalet staff will usually have one day off per week and on this day you will get breakfast only and have to fend for your self in the evening, being a good chance to explore one of Tignes excellent restaurants. Laundry and bed making is usually down to you to sort out.
The most cost effective way of staying in the resort. There is quite a spread of apartments of which the majority are controlled by the rental agencies. Some will provide bed sheets and others will either advise you to bring your own or rent from them for a small sum. You get what you pay for! Apartments sizes range from 1-2 people upto a maximum of 10 people. You will be provided with all the crockery, utensils etc sufficient for your needs. Most have TV as standard and internet and cable TV are usually available for a fee. You will need to buy all the disposable consumables ie soap, washing up liquid, toilet rolls etc
