Three main airports serve the resort; Geneva international, Lyon and Grenoble, there is also the smaller airport at Chambery. The first three are well served by bucket seat operators, Easyjet, RyanAir, BMI. As with all bucket type operations it is advisable to book early as prices increase along with demand closer to the flying date. British Airways sometimes have very reasonable prices with the advantage of being at fairly civilised flight times and in-flight food! From you chosen arrival point you can arrange in advance either a personal transfer to your accommodation within the resort or take a coach to the resort centres of Tignes Les Boisses, or the Maison de Ville of either Tignes Le Lac or Val Claret
There are may companies offering services to get you
and your equipment to the resort. There are coach companies offering a regular
service during the season from all of the airports or you can book a private transfer with one of the
many mini bus companies.
I would definitely advise that your transfer is not left to your arrival as
airports are cold lonely places when you can't find a transfer!. Preferably use
someone you know or has been recommended to you. Try speaking to your chalet
host if he has someone to recommend but check prices before accepting.
